  • Lancaster Chamber to host two networking-oriented meet-ups

    The Lancaster and Rosamond Chambers of Commerce have a fair amount of activity to get through this month, with the quickly approaching Business After Hours Mixer taking place, as well as this months Business 4 Breakfast meet-up being held later on. Thats at least two events going on that business professionals can note in their diaries.

  • Golden Corral raising funds for Camp Corral

    The Lancaster Golden Corral restaurant on North Memorial Drive is collecting donations in an effort to send children to Camp Corral; a camp for children of disabled veterans. The Lancaster restaurant is currently trying to reach a target of $6,000 to send six kids to one of the nine Camp Corrals across the United States.

  • Chamber Offers Its Members Three Networking Events

    Even the briefest of glances at the Lancaster-Rosamond Chamber of Commerce calendar reveals that members have a full schedule of events to choose from. Between Business 4 Breakfast, the chamber luncheon, and the upcoming mixer, its clear that local professionals will have several opportunities to connect with one another before the month is over.

  • Banners In honor Of Local Soldiers To Line Lancaster Streets

    Next month, banners honoring 14 local soldiers will be displayed along Broad and Columbus streets in Lancaster. The banners are the idea of Blue Star Mothers Chapter 10 and feature each soldiers military branch, hometown and picture. The banners are intended to honor Lancasters soldiers and remind people of the sacrifice each of these soldiers has made for the country.

  • Lancaster crime rate continues downward trend

    The city of Lancaster is becoming a safer place to live with each passing year. The overall crime rate in Lancaster dropped 13 percent in 2011 from 2010, according to statistics provided by the Los Angeles County Sheriffs Department (LASD.) The 2011 figures break down to 260 crimes per 10,000 residents last year compared to 298.7 in 2010.
